Urban Transport in Sofia: How Ovcha Kupel Connects to the City Center Hey, mama! Picture us sipping coffee, kids playing nearby, and chatting about how easy it is to get from **Ovcha Kupel** to Sofia’s city center. Living in **Izolda Ovcha Kupel** is awesome, but the great transport links make our daily life even smoother. Sofia’s got a solid public transport system, and Ovcha Kupel is well-connected to the center with metro, buses, and even night lines!

The quickest and most reliable way to hit the center is the metro. Line M3, which stops at **Ovcha Kupel** station (opened in 2021), gets you to central spots like the National Palace of Culture in just about 10 minutes. A ticket costs 1.60 BGN, and trains run every 10 minutes from 5:00 AM to 11:55 PM. The station’s near President Lincoln Blvd., super convenient for **Izolda** residents. Plus, the metro’s a lifesaver for us with kids – no traffic jams and plenty of space for strollers!

If buses are more your vibe, there are several lines linking Ovcha Kupel to the center. For example, bus 260 goes through the neighborhood and reaches places like Ruski Pametnik in about 11 minutes. Tickets are also 1.60 BGN. Other lines like 59, 60, and 73 give you flexibility depending on where you’re headed. For late-night outings, the N3 night bus (from Ovcha Kupel to Levski G) is a gem – it runs from midnight to 4:00 AM and stops at all tram and bus stops along the way.

Trams like lines 5 and 11 are another option, especially if you want to enjoy the view. They run along Tsar Boris III Blvd. and connect the neighborhood to central areas. Though Ovcha Kupel is about 6 km from the center, traffic can sometimes slow down bus or tram trips, so the metro’s often the fastest bet.

For us in **Izolda**, this connectivity is a huge win. We can park the car in the garage and zip to the center for a coffee with friends or a day out with the kids, stress-free. Apps like Moovit let us check schedules in real time – so easy! Ovcha Kupel isn’t just a neighborhood; it keeps you close to Sofia’s heartbeat. So, wanna meet downtown for a coffee?
